Presenting Dynamic Cardiovascular Risk Stratification in Type 2 Diabetes Using Bipartite Stochastic Block Models for Specialty Referral Decisions.
YUKTI KATHURIA · HEALTHCARE RESEARCHER
I’m a healthcare researcher and Ph.D. candidate at UMass Amherst. I use quantitative research to understand healthcare challenges and inform better decisions about care and resources.

I’m a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, advised by Muge Capan.
My training began in aerospace engineering, where I earned both my B.S. and M.S. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Today I bring that systems perspective, together with statistical and computational methods, to healthcare research.
More about my academic journey ↗03 / RESEARCH
My work explores how healthcare data can reveal unequal risks, clarify changing care needs, and support smarter use of limited resources. Recent projects span cardiovascular risk stratification, longitudinal care pathways, and geographic healthcare access.
